Ry + Kendall Wedding

The girls looking down at the stream in the backyard.

I have known Kendall for a while now. When she found out I was doing wedding photography, she gave me a call and I had here day available. She told me they would be getting married at her mothers property in Castella. We had previously had some wild parties here before. Her family owns these old mining cabins mad of stone that they rent out to outdoorsmen coming to fish, or enjoy peace of mind in nature. This place is out there, and I knew I was not going to miss it!

They really did a great job picking out all of the details.

Hat’s off to Kendall and her mother. They put this wedding together all on there own to save money and I thought all the little details they put together really came out amazing. I loved the high quality tables and chairs for the reception, the dessert bar, and of course, the dance floor. The most beautiful of all though, was Kendall in her wedding dress mixed with her very bubbly personality. She is a riot. You can tell from some of the photos from later in the evening.

Viking Kendall

The ceremony was short and sweet down by the river in the backyard. Viewers in attendance were in small numbers of close friends and family of both Kendall and Ry. It was very intimate and the surrounding scenery really made it special. Later on, Kendall and Ry would wash the cake off there face in this very creek.

Getting hitched right on the bank of Castella Creek just outside of Castle Crags State Park.

Once they said “I do” we spent about 30 minutes taking some posed shots with the bridal party and family members before moving onto the reception and the rest of the shenanigans. I feel like I say this after every wedding, but this was definitely my favorite event so far. Although this was a backyard wedding, I think it turned out amazing. The setting was much more beutiful in person. Check the gallery out below for more of my favorite photos and let me know what you think in the comments below.
